Tired Iron of the Ozarks is a club for those who own or admire old tractors and engines, and who look nostalgically to the past farming and manufacturing history of America. Membership in Tired Iron offers a great platform for those interests, which are included in the following lists:
***The membership fee includes being a part of a like-mined national organization, the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association (EDGE&TA).
***The EDGE&TA fee includes affordable liability insurance for Tired Iron and its members.
***New members can find many who share their interests in engines and/or tractors and can find solutions to restoration projects from the past diligent efforts of club members to develop their own collections.
***A working blacksmith shop provides first-hand activities for general learning about blacksmith skills or more advanced manufacture of iron items.
***Blacksmiths of Arkansas, a regional club of skilled blacksmiths, meet on Saturdays of our April and September shows and display their talents in iron work.
***An early 1900s sawmill on site offers an opportunity to see how lumbering was done a hundred years ago.
***Club members can enter their tractors and engines in parades and festivals and find a great satisfaction in showing them in communities around Tire Iron.
***Tired Iron's home antique building provides many visitors an opportunity to "see how it was done" at home from the numerous displays of old home and industry items.
***A Tired Iron member can "adopt" club owned tractors and/or engines for restoration.
