Why Tired Iron?

  

Tired Iron of the Ozarks is a club for those who own or admire old tractors and engines, and who cherish the past farming and manufacturing history of America. Membership in Tired Iron offers a great platform for those interests.

***The membership fee includes being a part of a like-mined national organization, the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association (EDGE&TA).


***The EDGE&TA fee includes affordable liability insurance for Tired Iron and its members.


***New members can find many who share their interests in engines and/or tractors and can find solutions to restoration projects from the past diligent efforts of club members to develop their own collections.

***A working blacksmith shop provides first-hand activities for general learning about blacksmith skills or more advanced manufacture of iron items.

 

***Blacksmiths of Arkansas, a regional club of skilled blacksmiths, meet on Saturdays of our April and September shows and display their talents in iron work.

***An early 1900s sawmill on site offers an opportunity to see how lumbering was done a hundred years ago.


***Club members can enter their tractors and engines in parades and festivals.  Giving you the opportunity show off your Tired Iron Engines and Tractors.


***Tired Iron's home antique building provides many visitors an opportunity to "see how it was done" at home from the numerous displays of old home and industry items.


***A Tired Iron member can "adopt" club owned tractors and/or engines for restoration.
